My name is Mikal (pronounced like Michael) Whitney Ewing. I am a Writer, Director, and Model. I'm still pretty early in all three of these career fields. I've found my voice in story-telling and I'm learning that I really want my work to send a message to humanity. Our sole purpose here on Earth is to grow as a species and I want my work to help us do that.
My Story
Mikal Whitney Ewing was born in Austin, TX, raised in Corona, CA, and currently resides in New York City. As a child, she knew for certain she would be in the entertainment industry somehow, some way. This path was paved for her since she was performing at the age of 2. She trained in dance and acting throughout her early, formative years. It took her until her junior year of college to figure out that instead of only being in front of the camera, she actually wanted to write and direct her own work. She felt both at peace and in control for the first time.
She's written over 6 short film scripts, one feature film script, a couple web series episodes, and an original TV pilot. She's directed two short films and several music videos (all within the past decade). In 2021, she took a break from filmmaking and started her modeling journey. She found that modeling is a creative outlet that she enjoys immensely and will continue exploring and finding her place in that world as well.
Mikal has a strong desire to help humanity become more compassionate and understanding so we as the human race can grow in a healthy, progressive way. Once she understood her purpose, she started implementing it into her work. She can't wait to show the world not only what she's capable of, but what humanity is capable of when we come together in a healthy, creative way.
